Preparing for the Shoot
Before your boudoir session, you'll want to plan and consider a few things to ensure that you're feeling excited and confident:
Wardrobe Choices: As you know, our studio does send over some helpful lingerie and accessory guides to help you on your pre-shoot shopping spree! Before your session date, before heading straight to the store, read over those guides and look through your closet for some fun and flirty options! You might be surprised to find that you have some awesome stuff already at your disposal. If you're having no luck finding your boudoir wardrobe at home, take some time to search for outfits, lingerie, or accessories online or in-store that will make you feel confident and gorgeous throughout your whole session.
Hair and Makeup: As part of The QueenStudios, experience we offer hair and makeup services prior to your session. Who doesn't love getting all glammed up by a professional and talented artist?! *Note: If you have any allergies, make sure to let us know beforehand or bring some of your products with you on the day of your session.*
Be Ready to Pose: During the shoot, you'll be holding all kinds of poses, and although they won't necessarily be handstands and back arches, some poses do require some flexibility and strength. Before your session, make sure to stretch; you'll be thankful once the session wraps up that you warmed up your body. Also, try to avoid eating a big meal before your shoot so that you can avoid getting a stomach ache, but do make sure to have some food in your system so that you don't get lightheaded as we run through the poses.
After the Boudoir Photo Shoot
After your boudoir shoot, the excitement continues:
Celebrate Yourself: Once you're finished with your session, take a moment to celebrate yourself! A Boudoir session is all about the beautiful celebration of you and your strength. Feel proud that you made it through the session, enjoy those feelings of bliss, and plan to show off the glam hair and makeup you got at the start of the session.
Waiting for the Results: Over the next few days after your session, the QueenStudios team will be taking the time to edit and select the photos that best showcase your beauty. Although you may be nervous to see the results, waiting for the final images is always exciting!
Photo Selection: Once your photos are ready, you'll have a chance to choose your favourites. This is when you get to see the gorgeous images that capture your beauty. The ordering appointment will also give you a chance to look at the different print, canvas, album and product options available for your stunning catalogue!
Cherished Memories: This is the best part of your boudoir session; your beautiful and unique images belong to you and should always remind you of your empowering and positive experience. Look back on your images, feel pride and celebrate your amazing self!
