Have you ever done a boudoir shoot before? If so, how does your shoot with Quinn compare to your prior experience?
I actually did a mini shoot years and years ago. Nothing like this. Quinn gave me everything I could ever need to know. The information before the shoot to prep about hair, nails, tanning, outfit planning and shopping, was so important. It gave me confidence in being prepared for the shoot. I didn’t have that last time. She also helps every step along the way and during the whole shoot, letting me know exactly how to pose.
Why did you do your boudoir shoot? I really wanted to celebrate entering a new decade and how much I’ve grown to accept myself how I am. I became a mom a few years ago and of course many body changes come with that. I wanted to feel like I did two decades ago yet celebrate how much I’ve achieved.
What was your favorite part of the session?
Working with Quinn!!! Her and her ladies, Jenny and Becca, were amazing. They made me up and picked my outfits. The atmosphere was so chill and they are so energetic and positive. It was just such a fun day!
What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.
I have always struggled to be confident from a young age. I never felt like the pretty girl. I think it’s really taken four decades to build the confidence I have now and it’s still a battle some days.
I work all week as a baker in a uniform, and then come home to my toddler. There is not much room for “me” time these days, let alone any sexy time for my husband! Doing this shoot reminded me how important it is to have days that I dress up for me, get my nails done and buy some damn lingerie!
When I first saw the pictures from Quinn I felt so emotional. I didn’t know I could look so good. The things I think I’m most self conscious about were probably some of the things I thought were the most amazing in my photographs. I saw myself in a different light for sure. I think I got to see some of the things my husband always says he loves about me. I thought these pictures would mostly be for me and my husband but now that I’ve seen them, I just want to put them on a billboard LOL
I wish every woman could do this and feel this way. I thought this would be an amazing experience and it was even better. I felt so comfortable and empowered. I wouldn’t change a thing. I think the best part is when you sit down the first time to see the sneak a peek slide show and be amazed at how beautiful you are. I recommend this for everyone!
